About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Save up to another discovery travel.

ABOUT ME

Me.Well. I'm pretty curious. Smiling most of the time. Laughing a lot. I'm openminded and I enjoy to listen and learn from other's stories. Getting to know new people makes my everyday way more interesting. My life.I was born and lived in a village of southern Spain until I was eight years old, since I grew up on an island in Denmark - latest I've found my home i Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. I was in Bushwick, New York for 3,5 months in 2011 - and during the stay the city achieved to gain a huge place in my mind when it comes to wondering about where my next home should be. Today I live with my amazing boyfriend Tobias in Copenhagen, Denmark. My travels.I've been traveling some around Europe - twice by interrail (I'd do that again and again... highly recommendable!), but also by car, plane and foot - and I always get surprised of the diversity here. But it also means that I'm more than ready to explore more of Latin America, all of Asia, Africa and the rest of U.S. I am in Costa Rica doing an internship at the moment. My language.I'm fluent in Spanish and my English i good too. I try to understand German, Portuguese and Italian, but this isn't always going that well. ;) My greetings. All my best, enjoy your traveling!Sandra

PHILOSOPHY

Don't be grumpy."Don't stand there yelling - Just kissAlways something to be grumpy aboutDon't you know you can do withoutNotice all the small things and beauty will shout.(...)You'll never get away with being unfair."(Trolle//Siebenhaar: These Streets)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The past.I've used CS to meet people (and to be hosted for a single night) in New York, and these great experiences makes me look very much forward to have a place in Copenhagen where I can host or invite people to have a cup of coffee or a beer. The future.I always say that Copenhagen is a boring place to visit if you follow the guidebooks, but an AMAZING city if you follow the footsteps of a local. You are therefore always welcome to write me if you're coming to Copenhagen - if I can't show you around, I'll tell you about my favorite spots and things to do in the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only had a few, but very good, CouchSurfing experiences - all in New York. Looking forward to meet more couch surfers in the near future!visited 24 states (10.6%)Create your own visited map of The World or jurisdische veraling duits?Free counters

Interests

I like.'Peoplewatching' above all. Social Media and the use of it in personal and public relations - I'm a true facebook lover. Photoshop. Graphic Design. Strategic Planning and Communication. Just sitting in a cafe reading a ridiculous but funny book. Or maybe a wise and interesting one. Psychology. Walking around. Little galleries. Great music. To communicate through the written word [whether it's chatting, making updates, sending texts og writing long blogposts]. And of course friends, both the good ol' ones and the new almost-strange-ones. This including long talks over red wine and dubstepping in dark clubs. I am btw addicted to really dark chocolate.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music.I'm pretty open to everything. Electronica, dubstep, rock, hits of the 80ies, reggae, pop, indie, spanish music... you name it. I'm more into listening to the music than to getting to know the artists (and their names!), but my favorite music list of course includes artists of whom I wont forget the names:Examples are Alex Clare, Bon Iver, Thomas Dybdahl, Agnes Obel, Björk, Die Antwoord, Sleep Party People, Wafande, The National, Portishead, Röyksopp, Kings of Leon, Nina Simone, When Saints go Machine, Turboweekend, Balstyrko, Tracy Chapman, Bob Marley, 2000F & JKamata, Trolle//Siebenhaar, Joaquín Sabina, Moby, old hits of Madonna, Fito y los Fitipaldis, Hot Chip, The Whitest Boy Alive, Anne Linnet, Billie Holiday, Bebe, Björk, Cafe del Mar, Hot Chip, The Streets, Erykah Badu, Figurines, Kira and the Kindred Spirits, Manu Chao, Michael Jackson, Kashmir, Paul McCartney, Queen, Starsailor, Tina Dickow... and I guess that I could go on. Movies.Spanish above all. Biutiful, Volver, El Orfanato, Hable con Ella, El Laberinto del Fauno, Lunes al Sol, Mar Adentro, Princesas and more. Other: Vicky Christina Barcelona, American Beauty, En Kort En Lang, Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge, A Beautiful Mind, Dogville, Walk the Line, Dancer in the Dark, Pirates of the Caribbean, Match Point, Drive.Shows.I'm a huge fan of Mad Men.Guilty pleasure: X-Factor Denmark. [Don't tell anyone].Books.I prefer litterature that inspires me in my work with graphic design, entrepreneurship and photography - or at least, that's what I take my time to read in my everyday [plus magazines! I'm addicted to them]. Favorite books that actually contains more text that images, must be some nerdy ones as Blue Ocean Strategy [W. Chan Kim & Renee Mauborgne] and Det Lærende Brand [Claus Buhl - only in Danish].Of fiction I've been reading during vacations mostly, these must be my favorites [Danish titles]: Krat [Christian Jungersen], Undtagelsen [Christian Jungersen], Universets Engle [Einar Már Gudmundsson], Se Dagens Lys [Svend Åge Madsen], Doppler [Erlend Loe], Hold masken eller der falder brænde ned [Michael Jeppesen & Anders Lund Madsen], Det kolossale menneske [Thomas Blachmann].

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking in the mountains of the Durmitor National Park of Montenegro - then drinking turkish coffee in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina. And doing the "Ruta de la Plata", "The Silver Route", in Spain by foot. Amazing!Another amazing thing I've done, is of course the trip to NYC [and Bogotá, Colombia]. Taking more than a quarter of a year out of the calendar - leaving job, apartment and all concerns behind - has given me more energy than the strongest cup of coffee I've ever had.
