CURRENT MISSION Working. Sailing. ABOUT ME Au début (2002) : I started hosting 10 years ago in America before I even knew what Couch Surfing was. I was really passionate about all things music--playing in bands, recording, booking shows--which is how I stumbled upon this brilliant concept. Giving strangers a place to kip after a gig and staying up all night talking to together is an incredible way to meet people. I finally heard about this site a few years ago, registering straight away. However, it wasn't until I started travelling on my own to random places that I realised just how amazing this thing is! A pint with a stranger turned into a mid-winter mid-blizzard hitch-hiking adventure (nearly died). A summer later I found myself caught under the rain in a Spanish forest for 3 days (nearly died). A week's worth of hitch hiking bought me back to Bordeaux where I saved a man's life (he nearly died)! So for the moment, looks like the score's 1-2, advantage nature.
