Quit my job to travel the world in 2015, so sadly cannot host.
(Travel pics here if you're interested: http://supremevicepresident.smugmug.com/)
I've lived in Brazil and Japan before, done a fair amount of traveling in Europe, been to Africa twice, Mexico a couple times, and seen all 50 states in the US. I'm a big fan of taking chances on strangers and connecting with people in unconventional ways.
I lived in San Francisco for 14 years (and hosted many people during that time), but I quit my desk job at the end of 2014 to travel the world and generally take a breather from the rat race. If you need San Francisco (or Northern California) advice, I'm your man.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love what Couchsurfing stands for, namely, that it's worthwhile to assume the best in others. The community has provided me with some great experiences, most notably a great night in Nairobi and killer company for a Scissor Sisters concert in Portland.
Exploring nature, running, meeting new people, learning, reading, comedy (I have done stand-up and sketch off and on for a number of years now), camping, and nature again.
I really love sitting around campfires. And I also really like looking at big, classical paintings. I can do either one for hours and hours and hours.

Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach you how to properly tell a joke in front of an audience and how to build a campfire that lights reliably and quickly.
