"Le fun, c'est plate" (Réjean Ducharme)
I guess my upbringing could have made me a slightly confused, Québécois-maoist-suburban-punk rocker.
I'm very glad I avoided that. Or did I ?
I studied Political Science, East Asian Studies, and Urban Planning, and I am now working in transportation planning. I am also quite proud to be the father of the loveliest pair of children on this planet. I think of making music and food as true acts of sharing and love. I enjoy working with my hands, though I wish I had more time to do that. I'm a happy person, and try to reach out to the not-so-happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm always eager to share insights about my city and my people.
I worked for Mexico tourism and traveled in Mexico and South America, and will happily share tips about those destinations.
I had the chance to meet great hosts in China and Mexico, and hosted myself quite a view travelers from all around. All were extremely positive experiences. Couchsurfing is great.

Music, food, Native cultures, cycling, alternative and socio-enviro-conscious lifestyles, bandes-dessinées (mostly franco-belgian school and graphic novels), anything punk rock, kitsch, learning to play new musical instruments (lately: the banjo!).
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: heartfelt, creative, provoking, exciting, from death metal to punk rock to country to bossa nova to mariachi and Québec folksongs and drum&bass and hip hop. If it sounds genuine, it usually floats my boat.
Books: Ducharme, Tremblay, Italo Calvino, Jean-Simon Desrochers, Chomsky, Umberto Eco, Chuck Palahniuk, Sartre, Boris Vian, Carlos Fuentes, Juan Rulfo, Garcia Marquez, Henry Miller, Lu Xun, Lao She
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
