About Me

buy or build a hostel in a town with a beach:) Let me know if you know one who has a hostal...

Well, I am a generally open minded, tolerant, curious, sometimes chaotic and often daydreaming person:) Oh, I get bored quite quickly. The only thing I have ever continued for more than just a few years has been my desire to play the piano...

Check out my music on

"as many sunsets on a beach as possible"
"live every day as if it would be your last"
"If I could have a dream come true, then I would love to be as inventive as Keith Jarrett, have the touch of Bill Evans, the charisma of Chick Corea and the stamina of Ruben Gonzalez"

Music, Movies, and Books

Lawrence of Arabia, Taxi Driver, Slumdog Millionaire (just because it cheered me up a lot), Blade Runner
Koeln Konzert and anything with Ruben Gonzalez, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy
All the books by David Mitchell, Life of Pi... there are so many more, where does one start, where stop? I like Hemingway, Paul Auster, Dante, Dostojewski, Tolkien...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

14 days and no shower through the Kimberleys, three days on a camel in Wadi Rum, the 2 hour car trip on Cuba which ended up to be 8 hours (no signs, no sense of direction, no language skills (derecha said by a woman is not the same as derecho uttered by a man;), taking various boats to finally get from Iquitos, Peru to Belém, Brazil, taking an involuntary detour in a taxi in Uzbekistan of 500km and finally my first and only jazz concert in Berlin:)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I can teach you how to improvise on your piano in less than a day... hm, can also cook my grand mother's German meatballs...:)
