About Me
👋 Hi there, hope your day is going well 🙂
I have a "SECRET WORD" you have to include in you request if you want to stay with me. But don't worry, it's not a big secret😂, just scroll down to the first smiley sun face and you will find It. If you don't include it your request will declined.
This first bit is mainly for guest. If you are a host I sent a request to, feel free to skip down to all the flags
🌞
I love couchsurfing, but I only host people who read my profil. I'm not gonna demand you read every bit of it, I'm just trying to filter out those can't even be bothered to read a few lines of a profile 😉
So if you want to stay with me you have to include the "secret" codeword. The word is CLOWN 🤡 (totally random) somewhere in your request. If you don't I will most likely decline your request, sorry
🌞
The information in my profile and hosting calendar is generally always kept up to date. If dates in my hosting calendar is blocked off they are blocked off for a reason. Putting a different dates in your request, but writing the actual dates in your message in hopes that I can host on those dates after all won't work, sorry(why do people do that🤷♀️)
🌞
I do not accept requests more than a month in advance. A month is fine, but 2 weeks or less is even better.
I understand that's not convenient for many of you and you like to plan ahead. But I'm not a planer myself and would like to give a better chance to other surfers who are like me. Sorry about that
Also, couchsurfing isn't like a hotel and shouldn't be booked far in advance, in my opinion 😉
🌞
And one for the men.
I don't mind hosting men, I've hosted (and stayed with) a lot of great men. I do not host men who doesn't have references though. Preferably 5-10, but might make exceptions for a good request and profile. Nor do I host men who only stay with women, very suspicious😂
🌞
April 2025
I occasionally rent out my guest room. My current tenant isn't super comfortable with me doing couchsurfing. However, since she lives at work during the week and are here only in the weekend, I'm now only hosting Monday to Thursday. Works out great, I still get to host and don't have to worry about her being uncomfortable. I usually have other things to do in the weekend anyway 😂
I'm fully aware that all these "rules" makes me sound like a very strickt person. I'm really not though, at least I hope I'm not 😂. If you read my references I think you can see that I'm actually a nice person
Again, it's just to filter out the requests I get. Some people might be put of by so much text and secret words (sometimes I'm like that myself too, so I understand 😂) but I still get enough requests, so it works well for me
I have hosted people from (in random order)
🇩🇪🇳🇱🇵🇹🇪🇸🏴🇸🇦🇯🇵🇭🇺🇫🇷🇧🇪🇬🇭🇰🇷🇧🇬🇵🇱🇹🇭🇨🇭🏴🇱🇹🇮🇱🇺🇸🇮🇳🇮🇩🇨🇴🇨🇿🇷🇺🇮🇹🇹🇷🇵🇪🇸🇰🇻🇳🇦🇷🇨🇦🇲🇾🇮🇷🇦🇹🇨🇱🇰🇿🇹🇼
Unfortunately I can't remember exactly how many people I have hosted through the years, but more than a 100
I have surfed in (in chronically order)

As I said, I love couchsurfing (it used to be better though) Been using in since 2009 and I've met so many amazing people, as a host, as a guest or just meeting up with people. It has really had a impact on my life and how I travel. Seeing a place from a local perspective is an important part of travelling for me, couchsurfing gives me that opportunity.
And when I'm not travelling I can invite the world home to me 🙂
My profile used to say I love travelling no matter if it was to a hot or cold place. That is not true anymore, I've developed a hature for winter 😂. I might still travel to cold places, but I'm definitely more of a summer girl
Not very Norwegian of me I know 😂I'm not outdoorsy or fit either. I'm happy to walk around a city all day, but I probably won't join you for a hike
Nor am particularly in to partying either. (I'm so boring😂) Love beer and pubs, but absolutely not in to clubs.
PHILOSOPHY
those who can enjoy the small things in life have lots to be happy about
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I both surf, host and join meetups
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
For the most part I only have good experiences using couchsurfing, both wile hosting and surfing. Always met great people :). Never had any bad experience, just a few interesting ones. They make for good stories later 😉
Interests
Traveling, football,music,books, history, movies,beer, card/board games, quiz
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: action, thriller sci fi, comedy, fantasy
Music: My tast in music is a bit random and not up to date. A little on the heavy side. My Spotify is one moment Manowar, then next Pink before some Avenged Sevenfold. And then suddenly Celine Dion
Books: I like all kind of book with a map in it, whether it's a map of an elaborate fantasy world of the real world.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have a lot of amazing and random stories from "breaking" in to a Romanian cemetery, to the crazy scissor man on a greyhound bus, to being at the first Hobbit movie premier, to crossing the Belize - Mexico border sort of illegally or living and working on weather station in the Arctic for 6 months with only 9 people, and 11 polar bears
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a my favorite card game gin and rumy, I'll be very happy if you wanna play that.
And I'm always in search for someone who knows the card game Canasta. A surfer though it to me, but I can't remember how to play it 😂
Yo hablo un poco Español y quiero practicar mas
Share travel stories or maybe just random facts. Random facts is fun. Did you know that the Philippines is the only country in the world that turn their flag upside down when they are at war
What I Can Share with Hosts
I usaualy prefer wandering around exploring on my own during the day,but like to spend time with my host during the evening, have a few beers (or wine) get to know them.
I cook for a living, I don't really do that much when I'm travelling. Also Norwegian food is boring 😂 so I probably won't cook for my host. I love trying local food though, so will very happily try my host's specially or invite them out for dinner. Don't worry, I'm not picky or critical, so you don't have to be scared of cooking for me😂
