About Me

CURRENT MISSION

«It's 106 miles to Chicago. We got a full tank of gas. Half a pack of cigarettes. It's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.»

ABOUT ME

***** I am having big trouble with writing back to all your lovely requests. If you don't get an answer I assure that I read most messages, but the big amounts of requests I am not able to answer.

I am a pinguin from the northern parts of Norway where I live to do my pinguin stuff which including shuffling snow, avoiding avelanches, igloo building and sliding on the ice.

I work in a consultancy called Lofoten Matpark. It is a company helping businesses to develope, and my work mostly is about tourism. I work a lot with tourism, recruitment and environment.

Recently I bought a old farm house (and a stable and a general store 🙈) which I moved into in February 2020. The place is located in the middle between Svolvær and Leknes. The place is called Limstrand and contains a few houses. If you sometimes visit you are dependent on the bus. In the summer it is quite frequent, or you can travel with car. A car would make you flexible.

PHILOSOPHY

Some people say we go to heaven when we die. Why wait so long?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am meeting people and try to to use CS everytime I travel. I am living in a big house and can host a nation if I want to ;-)

I try to host every now and then when it is not to busy at work and life, I travel and meet up people where I go and I like to drink coffee :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best thing with CoachSurfing is that it makes the world smaller. I met this girl from Sweden in Edinburgh and realised suddenly that me and her mother are living in the same street and using the same store for buying food. Small world!

Interests

I am a huge fan of mountain hiking. And when I moved home to Lofoten Islands in the summer 2012 I could fully get to do this interest. I usually go mountain hiking every weekend in the warm half of the year, and I love to show the mountains to other couchsurfers! :)

Besides of this I love music. I does not sing (thank God), but l am a good listener.

And I am interested in politics. I have been working in a NGO with politics, but mainly it have been, and will be one of my great hobbies.

I am also interested in movies, and then the movies that are not too Hollywoodish. I attend the local Cine Club which shows movies from all overvthecworld.

I play board games. Got a full closet 😍

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Drinking Croatian herb-moonshine!

- Bonskiing Fertilized horse milk in Mongolia without knowing what it was

- Got locked in to a hotel room for 3 hours by the Russian Tax authorities.

- Been the worlds northernmost jail librarian.

- Been to an Ethiopian wedding without knowing anyone of the guys getting wed

- I was born in Lofoten. The most amazing place ever.

- I had beer in Lush Bar, Place Clichy, Paris. Amazingly friendly clientel and waiters. Among the clientel was to small and gentle beer drinking dogs.

- I unauthorised snoke myself into the highest tower in Archangelsk to see the view (But the windows were all black of pollutions when I came up.)

- Went to a Balkan Beat Box concert in the tram museum in Helsinki!

- Not really amazing, but most strange and scary. I ended up in a transvestite bordello in Berlin when we searched for a bar at five in the morning in Berlin. They locked the door, took the key and had 1 million torture instruments! But we survived without physical damage!

Teach, Learn, Share

- I can learn you to pronounce my name.
