About Me

(Best to respond to the full profile if you are looking to stay over). Really poor etiquette to just send impersonal spam messages in my opinion.)

I am a connoisseur of fine irony :)

CURRENT MISSION

To transcend the pipe talk- to walk the walk- and hopefully with joy.
I am coordinating a non profit to enfranchise migrant farmworkers, and felons under the new jim crow. I also work in hospice.
I find the city to be a bit much.
As much as i can, i try to get out in nature.
I love to hike,
or pretty much any adrenaline inducing adventure.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I traveled all throughout the middle east, africa, south america when i was younger. I connected to a lot of great folks over couchsurfing and looking to give back. Looking back a highlight on couchsurfing was staying at ghassab el baduls petra mountain residence, where his bedouin family has lived since emigrating form yemen in the 1700's. I'd like to think my rustic offerings would be something of that variety :)

Interests

I am interested in new economic paradigms, aquaponics, permaculture, , psychedelia, activism,
Chipping away at the edifices of power,
empowering the disenfranchised,
tuning in to my inner wisdom,
finding equanimity, along with my revolutionary voice.
I love hiking, biking, swimming, and everything of the outdoor adrenaline variety.

Music, Movies & Books

Henry David Thoreau- walden
Pema Chodron- things fall apart
Oliver Sacks- The man who mistook his wife for a hat
Thomas Piketty- capital in the 21st century
Jon Kabat-Zinn- on mindfulness
Michelle Alexander- the new jim crow
Daniel Segal- Interpersonal neurobiology

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Hitchiked on a sail boat from the panama canal through the south pacific.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ideally you would attach something in these regards in your message to stay.
I could teach you cool survivalist tips, how to find wild edibles. I could share cool spots of the area as well!

What I Can Share With Hosts

So this is a rather unique offer to the unique traveler.
There is private beach somewhere in between Santa Cruz,
and Half Moon Bay. It is a absolutely pristine beach. I Like to think of it as the big sur that know one knows about. I am offering BYOT ( Bring Your Own Tent), rustic camping accommodations.

So for me this place is rather sacred. And i am so greatful for that.
For there are not enough places like that in California.
You know what i mean?
Those places which are not merely nature, but wilderness.
Not tamed.
Wild.

So i am not looking to majorly publicize the spot,
nor really homogonize the vibe to much.
I am looking to keep it really sacred.
A place where time just flows a different way.

So if you have read this far just plug the words pristine camping in the top of your message and than just introduce yourself. This is how i discern who to host, and who to pass. Wether you bothered to actually read the profile, haha quite efficient filter. I really look forward to sharing this beautiful space with you.
Understandably, most people will not read the profile, and just send a message requesting to stay. I have dozens of people sending requests, so please to respond in a way to acknowledge you actually read the profile.
Also, realize that you would need some mode of transportation, wether it be bike, car, or foot, or hitch, to get here. Bus is not practical. You would also need camping gear :)

Thanks :)
