Overview
About Me
I'm a quiet, but friendly type. I am very curious and feel and intense desire to travel the world and see places, meet new people. I am on a constant look out for a deeper connection, but also learning to appreciate the brief encounters and basic human kindness- we take what we can get, right?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of staying somewhere like a local. Sleeping in a non-touristic place, eating breakfast from wherever they'd get it, and wander the streets of their neighbourhoods. Locals always have great tips, even if they can't spare the time to show you around, and it's awesome.
I am not a very demanding person, nor do I seek a lot of care or attention. Just point me where to go, and I'll follow your advice.
Interests
Like many of you out there, I listen to music, a lot. I love a live show, be at a famous band, a festival, or a small gig at a local venue.
I am a film buff, and aim to watch at least two films per week. Film nights and film marathons are a great thing and my hope is that one day I'll have a place big enough to host one in my living room (without people getting sores from sitting on the floor).
I enjoy cooking and baking- a lot. Fresh ingredients and combination of flavours, the relaxing flow of thoughts when you focus on the task at hand...
Also a fan of walking around, aimlessly (well, it usually ends up with a coffee). There's nothing quite like soaking up the vibe and energy of a city when you just walk through it, and really look around (and listen).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music tastes are varied, but some of the favourite bands include The Cure, Le Tigre, Radiohead, Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division, New Order, Warpaint, Florence and the machine, Iggy Pop, Simple Minds...
For movies, I'll do top five that come to mind right away (in no particular order): Trainspotting, Lost Highway, Vanilla Sky, Star Wars, Stalker (gives you a pretty good idea, doesn't it?)
As for books... Tough! I've been reading a lot of non-fiction lately, and expanding my horizons (I have those periods when I crave information). In general, I'd say most fantasy and sci-fi books, to make my mind wonder, and then level it out by a different kind of wonder and read philosophy books (lately reading Alan Watt's essays and trying to make sense of living). I enjoy, immensely, Oscar Wild, Fiodor Dostoievski, Chuck Palahniuk, Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have shot a short film, without having studied cinema at university. It might not be much, but I was pretty damn proud. I learned a lot, too, and am looking forward to make another one.
Creating art is amazing. There is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment when you wrap a shoot (to me).
Teach, Learn, Share
I am bad at teaching, but will give advice if asked (sometimes if not asked as well, but I'm working on that). I am always willing to learn if you've got something to teach (Depeche Mode, anyone?)
and I share memories, knowledge and random thoughts as well as my space, my time, and my personal belongings with quite a lot of ease. I don't get attached to the material things much.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My time and space, any piece of knowledge they might need at the moment, my cooking or writing skills (also open to shoot a music video for you, on a short notice, if you're a band or a performer).
