Hi, I am Matthias from Essen, Germany. I'm studying biology at the Ruhr Universität Bochum and love to travel around the world to find beautiful and secret places. I am a musician, photographer and love Jiu Jitsu. I think that i am a very uncomplicated human and easy to meet. My mind is open to the world and their people.

I love to meet other people from every country of the world, this is why I want to try couch surfing.

Interests

I love practicing Jiu Jitsu, it's my favorite Sport, my second love in sport is to dance. My friends took my to a dancing school six years ago and until today i didn't stop.
I'm also intersted in making music. Since 14 Years i'm playing the piano, and the Guitar i tried with 15. Now i'm producing music for my own and my friends.
The third big part of interest in my life is photography. Since a short time i'm taking photos professionally with a friend. Look up our website and my flickr account to learn about me and my photos.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books is the trilogy Lord Of The Rings by Tolkien. I like to read thrillers and fantasy, but in generell i like every book as long as it's gripping.
Also my favorite movies are the middle-earth movies - but also utopia/distopia films and science-fiction.

Music.. it's a little bit special. I like to hear classic music and rock to metal, it shouldn't be to easy to follow, so sometimes I am listening to Jazz. I also like soundtracks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving at the Great Barrier Reef and watching the wonders of whales under the northern lights of Norway, closed to Tromsø.
