About Me

Hey Guys!

I'm a student at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. I truly love this city, the people, the Dutch culture and it's old and cosy charm. From February until June of 2018 I will move to Spain to do a placement and write my bachelor thesis. I'm looking very much forward to this new experience!!

Actually I'm from Germany. I grew up in Dortmund, the beer and soccer city.
But I must admit that I'm not a really big soccer fan! :D
A big part of my family lives in Sauerland. That is not far from Dortmund but it's more countryside. I really enjoy visiting my family and being out in nature.
I love hiking in the forest and just seeing the nature, but after some days I start missing the city so I'm also happy when I'm back in the "big" city.

2014/2015 I lived in the USA in Princeton and I really enjoyed this adventure.
I met a lot of people there and I'm not getting tired of meeting new people and seeing different places.
I found some really good friends in the US from all over the world and I'm so glad that I had the possibility to travel a lot!

In 2017, I spend one semester in Romania in Cluj- Napoca. I had an incredible time and I loved it so much. The Romanian culture, the beautiful nature and wilderness of the country, the people and their food and so much more, which went far over any of my expectations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is great !!

In germany we have a tv show " Auf 3 Sofas durch..." it's about couch surfing.
And I just love this show :D
A man stays for 3 night on 3 different couches in one city ( London, LA, mumbai, vienna...) ... it's awesome! He meets all different kind of people, they show him all different kinds of places and how they live, tell him what they think about the world and their philosophy what they like to do... so interesting and inspiring.

So I was hoping that I will meet some interesting people during my travel adventures!

Interests

I try to enjoy life as best as possible by exploring new places, hanging out with people who make me laugh, eating good food, dancing, long boarding...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like Alternative and Indie, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't listen to classic, rap, hip hop , blues or whatever... I think a bit of everthing is perfect.

Some of my favorite bands and artists are alt-j, the lumineers, Eddie Vedder, Tracy Chapman, Pink, Ed Sheeran...

Movies I enjoyed watching.. hmm .. "Frances Ha", "My Sassy Girl"!

Books: do you ever heard of Osho?! He's ( was) amazing !
He never wrote a book but the transcripts from his speeches are really worth to read.

"Discover yourself, otherwise you have to depend on other people’s opinions who don’t know themselves." - Osho

"I love this world because it is imperfect. It is imperfect, and that’s why it is growing; if it was perfect it would have been dead." - Osho

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sunrise on the Brooklyn Bridge
