Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Making new connections and trying to see how locals live when I'm abroad... or share tips with travelers visiting The Netherlands/Costa Rica. I appreciate the "local touch" more than the traditional touristic approach.

Interests

Travel, meeting new people, reading, (independent)films, cooking, checking new cafes and hidden little gems, roadtrips, outdoor activities, yoga, meditation, philosophical conversations, reading, wellness, all cultural and historical related stuff... Up to try anything new

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Hitchhiking trip to Tikal, Mayan ruins in Guatemala.
-Staying with some indigenous community, participating in their daily activities.
-Driving and camping - sleeping in a van along the Canary Islands, in the Nordics each summer the past years and big part of 2024 i was on the road too.
-Backpacking in Iran - one of my favorite places ever.
-Volunteer work - I have worked with refugees, gave language classes to children in rural communities, empowered local businesses in LATAM, suppoted elderly in NL, and currently supporting migrant kids- Helping and engaging with people is in my core.
