My name is Matilde.
I am teacher and photographer.
I am from Andalucía, Spain, but I'm not the typical one...
I have lived in Ireland and in Paris.
I live with my boyfriend (Flavien), He is from France and now we live in Sevilla in a cozy flat close to the center.

I always say "The smile is contagious, do the test"

I am a Friendly person who started to do couchsurfing some years ago with two friends and I liked the experience. Now, we have our own home so we can accommodate people in our house.

Soy profesora y fotógrafa.
Soy de Andalucía, España, pero no soy la típica andaluza ...
He vivido en Irlanda y en París.
Vivo con mi novio ( Flavien, el es de Francia, pero ahora vivimos en Sevilla, en un acogedor y bonito piso ( al menos a nosotros nos lo parece) jejeje, cerca del centro.

Soy una persona amigable que comenzó a hacer couchsurfing hace unos años con dos amigas y me gustó la experiencia. Ahora, tenemos nuestra propia casa para poder alojar personas en ella.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To really get to know a country or a city you have to get in contact with locals. Couchsurfing makes this possible, that's great! I had really good couchsurfing experiences in Dijon and Lyon so far. I met nice people and I got to know the cities so easily.

I think the possibility of meeting people from other countries and engaging with their culture and life is simply priceless. Getting to know places and people through their own eyes is the best way to see and learn things differently. All in all, I am here to learn something with fellow travelers or hosting!

I don't consider CS only as a way of not paying accommodation, but a way to know people in their own places, lives and routines and in a positive way be changed by them.

Me encantaría conocer gente a la que le gusta viajar, como a mí, aprender con ellos y crecer como persona. Además de enseñarles cosas de la ciudad (típicas o no típicas )En un futuro no muy lejano también me gustaría volver a viajar con couchsurfing.

Interests

I really like discovering new cultures and new people. Also learn new languages...
I love music, and photography... I like to going out and exploring new places.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Indie, folk, Alternative, Classic, Soundtracks, some Rock, Pop, Soul, Jazz, ... I think I am open to any kind of music...
I love almost every kind of music. It depends on my mood, my company and the environment I'm in.

I could not say a single movie or favorite book, but I generally like love, comedies, dramas, science fiction ...

No podría decir una sola peli o libro favorito, pero me gustan en general los de amor, las comedias, los dramas, la ciencia ficción....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if it's incredible but ... I've walked the Camino de Santiago for almost a month, and it was an incredible experience. I have also done a couple of trips as a backpacker, and I went to Paris to live because it was my dream, but without knowing the language or anyone . These experiences have changed myself a lot as a person and for me, they are exceptional.

No sé si es increible pero... he hecho el camino de Santiago por casi un mes, y fue una experiencia increíble. También he hecho un par de viajes como mochilera, y me fuí a Paris a vivir porque era mi sueño, pero sin conocer el idioma ni a nadie. Esas experiencias me han cambiado mucho como persona y para mí son excepcionales.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach spanish, or photography... I love cooking, to stay with children (I'm primary teacher)...
I would love to prepare a meal together - you can really get to know someone's culture by what they eat.

I love helping others, teaching them typical and not so typical things about my city (there are many stereotypes about Seville and not all of them are always like this)

Puedo enseñar español, o fotografía ... Me encanta cocinar, estar con niños (soy maestra de primaria) ...
Me encantaría preparar una comida juntos: realmente se puede conocer la cultura de alguien por lo que come....

Me encanta ayudar a los demás, enseñarles cosas típicas y no tan típicas de mi ciudad (hay muchos estereotípos sobre Sevilla y no todos son siempre así)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am interested in how people live in other countries, like to learn some new words in a foreign language and I am curious about other people travelling experience!

I can offer you a company, a hand to cook or a meal or give you a film recommendation.... I'm tidy and quiet but I love to go out too, and discover many places ( not just tourist ones).
Most importantly, I understand what CS is about and don't use it to have an hotel room :)

We could also share a meal to exchange experiences, anecdotes, knowledge ...

¡Estoy interesada en cómo vive la gente en otros países, me gusta aprender algunas palabras nuevas en un idioma extranjero y tengo curiosidad sobre la experiencia de viaje de otras personas!

Puedo ofrecerte compañía, una mano para cocinar o una comida o darte una recomendación de películas, series.... Soy ordenada y tranquila, pero también me encanta salir y descubrir nuevos lugares ( sobretodo esos que no están en las guías turísticas).
Lo más importante, entiendo de qué trata CS y no lo uso para conseguir una habitación de hotel :)

También podríamos compartir una comida para intercambiar experiencias, anécdotas, conocimientos...
