About Me

I'm a uni of Leeds student of Arabic and Business. Laid-back, passionate about life, meshugge traveller, language learner, dancer, (hitch)hiker, soon-to-be ukuleleist. Just me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always prefered being a discoverer rather than a tourist and being on Couchsurfing and connecting with locals is the best way to do it!

Interests

Just like most of couchsurfers here I am into travelling, discovering new places, meeting new people and whatnot, but my biggest passion is language learning - every conversation with me will sooner or later lead into linguistics and languages (sorry about that). Apart from that, I'm a snowboarding teacher, cross-country skiing passionate and a classical ballet dancer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't listen to genres, I listen to bands regardless of what type of music they are playing. Some of my most listened would be Gorillaz, Tom Mesch, Alt-J, Sigur Rós, AJJ, Tricky, Buena Vista Social Club, Mashrou Leila, Soapkills, Alsarah and the Nubatones but there are many others too.

Movies: Sorrentino, Tarantino (not just Pulp Fiction), Wes Anderson, Darren Aronofsky, very recently more into Asghar Farhadi and Zaza Uruszadze, also short films <333 such an undervalued form of art!

Books: Cabre (!), Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Orwell, Garcia, Bulgakov. Lots of lots, but these are my faves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Met a local girl when hitchhiking in Estonia in 2016 who took us to her house, we cooked with her family, played with her dogs, went to sauna together. Probably the fullest random hitchhiking/Couchsurfing experience so far

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Polish basics, I can share my stories and I crave for the same in return.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I usually learn a bit of local language when travelling so there is quite a chance I'm gonna talk to you in your language. I can also cook some Polish or Moroccan food for you, share my stories and all that
