About Me
Cheers!
I'm a recent UCLA graduate spending my gap year before law school conducting research for my local water department. I was born in the Philippines, but have lived my entire life in Los Angeles, CA after immigrating here at 4 years old. I'm traveling this year to different places that I've applied to for graduate school, so perhaps we may end up being neighbors in the future !
When I'm not studying, I enjoy social activism, listening to music, and being outside (hiking, rock-climbing, and volunteering at my community garden). I always appreciate meeting people who I can share spaces with and listen to different stories and experiences.
I love learning about cultures and regional affinities, exploring the nooks and crannies of cities and the urban scene. I enjoy learning about the histories behind every monument, building, and everything in between.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy traveling and going on as many excursions whenever I have the chance to. Through my travels, I document every moment and compile it into my big book of photo memories. It is through amplifying and sharing these memories, I believe, that cultural barriers can be broken down and deeper understandings can be achieved.
Interests
Cooking the food I grow, attending live shows and supporting local, aspiring artists, refining my taste for alcohol by trying to pair it up with dishes I cook, camping out under the stars, reading books for leisure - not for a grade, engaging in our society's most pertinent topics, and watching Netflix when all of the above have been completed.
