We are an independent grass-root community formed by individuals. We are protesting against an antidemocratic construction project and defending the Városliget (the City Park), which is one of the biggest green areas in Budapest, moreover, the first public park in Europe.

We would like to provide not just a temporary place to stay, but an opportunity to join to our movement. It is a blockade against a gigantic project, which endangers the green area by aiming to build monumental buildings using around 300.000 tons of concrete and spreading the urban concrete jungle into the park.

We stopped the cutting of the trees in the most important park in Budapest, and formed a permanent squat and community group at the site, in the heart and lungs of the city.

We have workshops with many different topics. There are artists who perform and give concerts regularly at our camp. The community meets every day around the camp-fire.
