My Name is Ulrik I love nature, being active, hunting, acting, writing and meditation. I am curious by nature and I am wildly interested in learning about myself, others and the possible differences between our cultures. I am quite strict with myself though as I always try to look and perform my best. I prefer to think of it as a good mix of being serious and driven while living playfully and openminded. Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm starting school in Bern, Switzerland from the 26th of september and I dont get access to my new appartment before the 1st of October. I'm hoping to spend some time learning about Switzerland and its inhabitants while travelling around the country before I start school.
Music, Movies, and Books
The music I listen to generally depends on my mood and the atmosphere in the room and I use music both as a tool and a way to have fun. For example if I want to concentrate on something or relax, I listen to classical music and if I want to dance and have fun I listen to upbeat funky music. I like action movies and movies that make me reflect on life or a given subject. I usually read books where people depart on big adventures or non-fiction books that can teach me something I desire.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
From an insecure and narrowminded kid I've developed myself into a self-confident and openminded man. I wish I could say more like: "I saved the day and became a hero when I saved a little boy from drowning." but I have lived far too blessed and secure a life to do something that heroic yet. I am pleased with the growth of my personal development though. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am very open-hearted and honest about my experiences or desires in life and I only hold myself back if I feel like might hurt myself or someone I hold dear. I have taught theater to both kids and adults before and can teach a lot about body language and emotional intelligence. I would like to learn a whole lot about Swiss culture and what sort of things you do in Switzerland to have fun.

My Interests
My grandfather was a hunter and a damn good one at that I might add. He taught me about appreciating nature and that we should never take more from nature than it can provide us with. I like sports because I learn with my body not just my mind. This is why I like hunting where the experience of being part of nature is just as big as the rush of the hunt itself. I have acted for 4 years now because I think it is fun to experience the world through the eyes of another. I wanted to become an actor a few years ago but realized through mindfulness that what I liked about acting was the personal growth it gave me. Therefore I decided to follow my other dream of becomming a leader that can make the world a better place.
