Hi fellow Couchsurfers! Though I've travelled a number of places here and there, I am new to couchsurfing. One of my friends has done it a number of times and truly enjoys it, so I thought I wold give it a try. Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to and learning about all music, especially music from the African diaspora, including but not limited to hip-hop, r&b, jazz, reggae, dancehall, soca, salsa, timba, bachata, merengue, and reggaeton, Afro-pop.

I used to study jazz for a minute, and I sing casually.

I enjoy movies with complex characters and and social themes or commentary. I also like movies that are funny. Still, I would consider myself a serious movie viewer or critic.

I read mostly nonfiction books on history, social issues, politics, religion, & self-improvement.

I got a bunch of fifth-graders excited about learning Geography.
