Hello everybody :) my name is Marek but people usually tend to call me Mark as they find it easier (the names are actually equal when it comes to meaning). My origins are in heart of Europe, small lovely country named Slovakia. Specifically, I was born in the north of the country :) so I am kind of used to colder weather. Currently, I live in Bratislava, where I've been studying computer science - at FIIT Slovak University of Technology. I am graduating next year, so wish me some luck :)

Apart from education and technology, I enjoy sports a lot. I play football (soccer for US guys :)) and I am keen on running, swimming along with street workout which helps me stay fit, especially after sitting long hours behind pc. Additionally, I love meeting new people, discover new places, and enjoy moments revealing either new information or experience about different culture which was unknown to me yet :) Although, my eating habits are rather healthy, I love trying new things, especially food from various cousines.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently on exchange program in USA and planning to travel across west coast in September. I think a couch would be very handy in that time. Besides, I'd love to find new friends whom I can host when I am back home in return ;)
