I’m Edson, I’m an entrepreneur building Drivana, a peer-to-peer car-sharing platform, basically an “Airbnb for cars” where people can rent vehicles from others in a simple, flexible, and transparent way.

Beyond work, I’m someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, hearing their stories, and experiencing different ways of living. I’ve lived abroad in the UK while doing my master’s in Liverpool, and that period really shaped how I see travel and community.

I’m easygoing & respectful. I enjoy good conversations, exploring new places, and making the most out of every experience. I also love sharing a bit of Mexican culture, whether that’s through stories, food, or just the way we connect with people.

I’ve been part of Couchsurfing for years, and it’s honestly been one of the most meaningful parts of my travels. I’ve hosted people, been hosted, and built real friendships along the way, many of those connections have lasted over time and across countries. That reciprocity and trust is what I value most about this community.

I strongly believe that travel is not just about places, but about people. The best memories I have are not from landmarks, but from the people I met along the way.

I’ve used the platform for years and it has given me some of my best travel experiences. From spontaneous plans to deep conversations and lifelong friendships, it’s a community I truly value.

Food is definitely my guilty pleasure. If you offer me something new, I’ll almost always say yes. Over time I’ve tried some pretty wild things, from scorpions and snakes to dishes I still have no idea what they were… and honestly, no regrets.

One of my favorite spontaneous moments was during the 2018 World Cup. I watched Mexico’s first game against Germany at a pub with friends, and after that insane win, I got so hyped that I went home, opened my laptop, bought a flight to Moscow, packed a backpack, and just went. No overthinking, just pure excitement.

Hands down one of the best experiences of my life.

I can share a bit of my Latin energy with you, starting with the language. I’m proud of being Mexican and love showing people the richness of our culture, from the way we connect with others to the little everyday things that make it special.
