I am a consultant for exporting companies in Izmir working freelance. Me and my wife like to travel and experience new cultures, sit and have a coffe in the main square and chit chat with locals. We prefer to take our time when traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My primary goal in coachsurfing is not couch finding but advice to find local experience. I am obviously attracted by main touristic attractions where I travel but I prefer cutting those main attractions short and explore less known cultural or natural beauties unspoiled by mass tourism. To give you an example: you can make me very happy if you know a good club or a local hall where we can listen traditional musicians of your country even though I dont understand the words of the songs. Or a small patisserie where local people prefer. Not necessarily music, but anything you advice me to experience your town/culture will fit me... Please do not advice me mass touristic attractions. Thank you very much...

Planning to travel to explore traditional, experimental, folk music in different countries. I'm expecting to meet people who love music as much as I do. On the dates I visit you, concerts from traditional musicians, roots music or local festivals or clubs dedicated to music etc could be interesting.
