After consecutive price hikes in the annual fee and on top of that this lastest update, I think the Couchsurfing platform is done. Any good suggestion for another platform?

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Some parts of the world barely receive travellers, so I thought this would be a good platform to meet locals and the few travellers that go where I am heading.

What I Can Share With Hosts
Normally I stay in a hostel/AirBnB/hotel when travelling. If there is no accommodation to be found in the area I am travelling to, I will reach out to a host. Then I can share jokes, funny stories and anecdotes over dinner and drinks.
