Hi there, I’m Shuo, full-time engineer, part-time traveler and cook.

I’m from a city in south China called Nanchang, but usually I introduce it as “near Shanghai”. It’s small not by population or geographical area, but it’s less known by people even in China. Although we have the best rice noodles not comparable to anywhere else and it’s my comfort food whenever I’m sad or miss home.

Then I spent 3 years in the spiciest city, Chongqing, or the biggest city in the world, where not only did I develop a strong stomach to tolerate all the hotpot and red-oil noodles, but also a love for nature.. climbing, and hiking a lot. During weekends I like to get out of the city and into nature.

I enjoy many things like caves, mountains, sitting alone in the forest, eating pickles... ok, and some more normal things too, like hanging out with friends, laughing, crying, screaming...

After graduation I start to like cooking, because i finally have a decent kitchen. I find peace during food preparation or just by listening to the sizzling and boiling sound, it’s a new meditation for me :)
But I only cook good food when in good mood :)

In March I moved to Switzerland, start to discover the Alps and fall in love with the mountain hut culture in Europe.
