Overview
About Me
I was born in 1965. After many years of service in the Turkish Navy, I retired with the rank of Commander and now work as a consultant in Integrated Logistics Support.
What I enjoy most in life is creating, learning, and of course, traveling. I live in a mountain village in Çamlıhemşin, at around 800 meters altitude, surrounded by nature. During the winter months, I stay at my home in Ankara.
In my youth, I was a scout leader, and I’ve always had a deep love for the outdoors.
My hobbies include ship modeling, construction work, plumbing and electrical work, woodworking, beekeeping, and cooking.
I’m cheerful, curious, and enjoy good conversation (though I sometimes slip into my “talkative” mode!). I love sharing, listening, and doing things together with others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My reasons are simple:
To meet new people and learn about different cultures.
To discover local gastronomy and taste every kind of food at least once.
To explore new regions, hidden places, and local traditions.
To travel more by using my budget economically and wisely.
To share what I’ve learned and experienced with other travelers.
For me, traveling isn’t just moving from one place to another; it’s about connecting with people, learning something new, and collecting memories that last longer than anything money can buy.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy almost every kind of music — it depends on my mood. During long night drives, I listen to lively rhythms like rock, polka, or Angara-style beats. In the daytime, I go for classical or jazz, something calm that fits the road and the view. I have music for every situation — even Spotify gets confused about what to recommend me anymore!
I don’t read books much, but when it comes to movies, let’s just say — when I die, I’m going to Valhalla
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
