Hey, I’m Pete!

I’m an expat living in Beijing, China, for the past three years. Before that, I spent a decade in Bangkok, Thailand. I’ve been a Couchsurfing member for years, though I had to restart my profile after losing my account during the pandemic.

Travel has been a huge part of my life—I’ve been lucky enough to explore many places, but there’s still so much more to see! I work in education internationally, which has been both a career and a passion. I love teaching, but I also love learning—currently (and very unsuccessfully) trying to learn Mandarin!

One of my favorite things about traveling is meeting people, sharing experiences, and hearing the incredible stories that come with the journey. If I’m available, I’m happy to host or meet up for a chat. Looking forward to meeting.

I love to read when I have time and now have an audible account to make sure I can keep up. I love old school movies and will return to different ones depending on my mood. Books that stand out are maybe the kite runner and the catcher in the rye.
