Overview
About Me
I am a mother of 2 beautiful children. I am here for the family friendly experience at this stage in my life. Here is my profile with many references on AirBnB as both a host and as a guest:

My husband is an Acupuncturist. We homeschool both of our children in elementary and high school. I love yoga, sound healings, nature, biking, swimming, hibernating in the winter. We enjoy healthy eating and fresh local organic foods. Sometimes we cook and sometimes we eat out.
And of course, I love to travel!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My husband, Matt, and I love to travel and meet new people. We hosted our home on AirBnB for many years and have met many people from all over. My daughter is a competitive gymnast on a team and we need to travel locally and also out of state. We would love to stay with people from those local areas and meet new friends that we could host in our town too! In the spring we will have the opportunity to travel to Arizona and we are excited about that.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like all music, especially some folk, and feminine artists. I listen to my daughters pop music, and my husbands very eclectic tastes (he also likes to play a large variety of instruments). I watch a lot of Netflix, but when i have rarely gone to the theatre it was for either movies like Dune or Lord of the Rings, or for Barbie with my daughter. I am also in a book club and read something interesting every month. Last month we read Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. This month we will do Holiday poetry in a barn by the fire. My husband has worked in bookstores and libraries and we like alternative and spiritual books, and he also indulges in anything related to Chinese Medicine or Qi Gong.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to the Tummengang, where Russia and China and North Korea meet, on the Russian Side. Only one other American had ever been there! I was fortunate to have lived and travelled in other countries as a Peace Corps Volunteer when I was in my 20's.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love doing yoga. My husband teaches Qi Gong and practices every day. We both have varying knowledge in alternative healing. We also love playing music. I absolutely love the ocean and will go anytime. We love a good hike to a hot spring anywhere.
What I Can Share with Hosts

We have so many varying and eclectic interests and talents including herbs and gardening as well. I am happy to share a cup of tea and some friendly conversation.
