About Me

Hi there!

I’m a traveler from Kerala, India, and I’ve been calling Oman home for over 20 years. I have a deep passion for learning, connecting with people, and telling stories through my camera.

Professionally, I’m a Learning & Development (L&D) professional with more than 22 years of experience, dedicated to helping individuals and organizations unlock their full potential. I hold an MBA in HR and Training, and my work has taken me across borders, cultures, and countless meaningful conversations.

Outside the office, you’ll almost always find me behind a camera. Photography is not just a hobby — it’s a lifelong love. My work has been appreciated by renowned platforms, including National Geographic. While astrophotography is my true passion, I also explore landscape, street, fashion, and wildlife photography. I regularly conduct photography workshops and sessions for organizations in both India and Oman, and love inspiring others to see the world through a creative lens.

Travel is woven into my life — whether it’s a short escape or an international adventure, I’m always looking for new places, fresh perspectives, and meaningful connections. In quieter moments, I enjoy a good game of chess and diving into books that expand the mind and spark curiosity.

If you’re someone who enjoys creativity, deep conversations, cultural exchange, and a touch of stargazing, I’d be thrilled to connect and share stories along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best way to truly understand a place is through its people. Couchsurfing offers a beautiful opportunity to connect beyond tourist attractions — to share stories, experiences, and everyday life with fellow travelers and locals.

As someone who has traveled extensively and lived abroad for over two decades, I’ve come to value meaningful conversations, cultural exchange, and the kindness of strangers who become friends. I love learning from others’ perspectives, sharing my own experiences, and building connections that go beyond borders.

Whether it’s chatting over a home-cooked meal, exploring a hidden spot in the city, or simply exchanging life stories, I find joy in the human connections that travel makes possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a deep love for country music and old classics — there’s something timeless and comforting about them. That said, I’m open to all kinds of music as long as it strikes a chord, whether it's soulful, upbeat, or something completely unexpected.

When it comes to books, I'm a voracious reader. I'm always exploring ideas that expand the mind. Currently, I’m reading Nexus: A Brief History of Information Networks from the Stone Age to AI — a fascinating journey through how we’re all connected.

As for movies, I enjoy great storytelling in any language or genre. From documentaries to thrillers, indie films to world cinema — I don’t believe in boundaries when it comes to a good story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most unforgettable moments in my life was spending a night alone on the southern tip of Masirah Island, under one of the darkest skies you can find anywhere — a Bortle 0-class sky with no light pollution for miles. It was just me, the stars, and complete silence. While I was stargazing and photographing, a shooting star suddenly exploded about 100 meters from where I was sitting. For a split second, I even half-joked to myself that maybe an alien ship was about to land nearby! That night wasn’t just about photography — it was a deeply personal experience of awe, solitude, and a little bit of wonder and humor thrown in.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing what I know—especially photography—and learning from others’ stories and cultures. For me, the best part of travel is those little moments where we connect, teach a skill, pick up something new, or simply share a laugh. It’s all about growing together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing photography tips, travel stories, and meaningful conversations. I’m happy to offer my home in Oman for a few days if needed, travel together, and recommend great places based on your interests. I’m always up for chess, books, and stargazing — with an open mind and respect for every connection.
