My name is Alison, and I’m about to turn 30 soon. As a birthday gift to myself, I decided to go on a solo trip to Japan this August — it’s been a spontaneous and exciting decision!

Since I booked everything pretty last minute, finding places to stay in some towns hasn’t been easy. It’s actually my first time using this site, but I’m really looking forward to connecting with local people and discovering the culture from the inside.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently did something crazy — I decided to spend the whole month of August traveling in Japan! 😄
I would love to find a place to stay and enjoy the Tanabata Festival in Akita, and after that, continue exploring the country.

I love discovering new sounds from different cultures too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the factory where I work, the other night we found a kitten trapped in one of the water treatment tanks.
With the help of the security guard, we managed to rescue it.
I went home that night with the feeling that I had done something good — and that made me really happy. 🐱✨
