CURRENT MISSION Conduct interviews as I go, and get a senseof how people digest politics, religion and culture ABOUT ME Working at the United Nations for a little bit. Also, I'm not Dutch, I'm Canadian. I signed up while in Holland and still don't know how to change that! I am 29, and recently returned from an extended leave around the world. My friends would probably describe me a fun, outgoing, always into discussion and debate, loving to learn PHILOSOPHY The biggest risk in life is not taking any risks

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I'm brand new to couchsurfing! Just had to spend a night with hooligan's from Birmingham though. twas interesting. Somebodt get me out of these hostels!
Music, Movies, and Books
I love too many movies to list here. I'll listen to anything that wasn't put out by Disney over the past decade Have a few favourite books. read "Team of Rivals", a book about Lincoln that was amazing this past year. "Naked Pictures of Famous People" by Jon Stewart (yes, THAT Jon Stewart) is pretty hilarious, as is anything put out by the daily show.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Wow good one! I miss the desert, was in the Negev desert a few years back and will never forget the stars at night. That's a special one. But I suppose everyone shares their 'beautiful scenery'stories here and I wanna be different! I'd say performing in a play or a sketch show in front of a few hundred people is a thrill. Once I did it on the same stage where they filmed the end of Billy Madison, that's something?
My Interests
I love the field of international relations, and I'm fascinated by diplomacy. Last year I went around the world conducting interviews and compiling articles on it, a few of which will be published in Canada. Performing, reading, writing, comedy, film making. As far as what type of party animal I am, I'm pretty open but prefer a jazz or dalsa club to a rave. I like to actually be able to hear the people I'm speaking with
