A stranger is a friend you haven´t met yet - so let´s meet :)

Nowadays I usually go to Lisboa when I leave Denmark - so I would love to get some Portuguese friends - so if you are in Copenhagen let me know, and then I would be happy to meet up again in Portugal. When in Lisboa, I usually like to go kizomba dancing, but also other things - I have done most of the "must do" sightseeing in Lisboa, so I am happy to see some other sides of Lisboa or the area around.

ABOUT ME

I like doing different activities and getting the most out of everyday. I am easy going and flexible and open to new people. I really enjoy dancing salsa and fell in love with Kizomba dancing, which is the reason that I have been going mostly to Lisboa in the last years. I like traveling and getting to know other places/cultures through it´s people, it´s local food&music and nature. The last years I have been to Cuba, Peru, India, Angola, Vietnam and I am always on my way to to Portugal soon for a dance. Years back I traveled through South East Asia, Australia and South America. I know how big a difference a couch or a cup of coffee/tea at a "strangers" home or a meetup taking the person to a local happening can make for the traveling experience. So look forward to seeing you out there as well as here.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat other people, like you want to be treated yourself. Live and learn - and try to enjoy it while doing both. Listening and following the wisdom of the heart in the everyday life will increase the happiness in life. When a door closes another one opens. Will you open the next?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have hosted, and then I like to join when there is CS event may it be a get-together-dinner, picnic or this kind of thing. If you like to go dancing Salsa ,Kizomba, Bachata let me know then I will take you where the dance is. I was mainly receiving guests and request in that period when I was more active, but it would be nice also trying to be hosted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nice guests so far, and have also made friends with local CS´ers.

Interests

Playing squash, salsa/kizomba/bachata dancing, walking, swimming, meeting new people, bicycling, yoga, meditation, - all of it give me great value in life. If you want to play a game of squash, og for a walk og go dancing let me know :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bicycled in the streets of Beijing when there were hardly any cars, seen the most beautiful sunsets in the north-eastern part of Thailand during a bicycle trip, Tiberut Island, participated as guest in a local wedding in Lombok, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, visited monasteries in the the area for exile Tibetans in Leh, played squash with locals in Cairo, danced salsa at the top of the twin towers (when they were still standing), invited for goat-dinner by locals in coastal Peru, watch the native Easter Island´ers practice for their evening dance show, lived in a hammock while travelling the amazonasriver (and of course the must-see things in the areas like Machu Pichu, the Igauzu waterfall, the Pantanal etc.)Yoga in India. Watched my dad die and felt his spirit´s presence.
I have learned that you can have great experiences anywhere in the world, abroad or at home if you are just open to other people, and now I look forward to more of those experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to teach you some squash, salsa - but also like to share thoughts on life experiences and purposes. I am always also happy to go for a walk for fresh air and conversation.
