About Me

Exploring the world, meeting good folks, seeing new interesting stuff and learning old ways...

Also, I just made a mandolin by hand, so gotta learn how to play the darn thing

Just moved to Letterfrack in Connemara to start with the woodworking furniture making college there, beautiful part of the world and interesting place to be

Wrapped up a long bicycle trip couple years ago, started in Singapore, southeast Asia a few years ago, through China, central Asia, Caucasus, Turkey, Greece, Balkans, eastern and southern Europe, around Britain & Ireland, and back on the continent through Netherlands, Belgium, & France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, Scandinavia, Russia, Baltics, Poland, and finished up in Ireland.

We'll see what the future holds, as I'm getting tired of constantly moving, need to settle down, and put down some roots somewhere, make some good friends, but it's gotta be somewhere interesting to keep the adventure going, and for sure won't stop traveling but in smaller doses...

I'm pretty laid back, down for hanging out and meeting interesting folks doing neat things and exploring rad places.

do whatcha wanna...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use Couchsurfing a ton to hang out and stay with friendly, interesting & fun folks as I make my way around. Really great experiences all along the way

I've been using CS, while biking across Asia and Europe over the past few years and while traveling for work over the 6 years before that.

Been a great way to meet locals from all over the world, and really experience your culture, food, music, family life, etc. A million times better then staying in a hostel or hotel! Also, a good way to meet fellow travelers and find out about great events in new cities and when I was settled down a bit in my old hometown of Pittsburgh.

bicycling around town (and the world)
all types of good live music
going on adventures
boogie'ing down
old school crafts, farming, and simple living
cooking & enjoying delicious local food and drink whether at home or on the road
alternative communal ways of living, anti-consumerism type stuff
environmental living
killing 'em with kindness
and so on...
