ABOUT ME

I grew up in the UK but decided to go to Australia backpacking back in 1997 for 12 months as i wanted to learn to dive... 2009 and i am thankfully still residing here; though luckily due to my occupation have been able to travel and continue to see various parts of our amazing world... its so big though i still look at the world map and have SOOO much to do!

I am a very easy going, happy, funloving, (though mostly responsible) person who enjoys all aspects of life; I love meeting new people, seeing new things, experiencing new cultures and making the most of everyday. I'm very motivated and excited about the potential of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have recently sold my house in Australia and am sitting on the sidelines for a little while longer until i think the market has bottomed out... i am currently renting a studio and as such have no couch to offer.... I do however have many friends in Sydney who may be able to help, so get in touch and i may be able to host... as soon as i do i look forward to being able to host as after 12 years of travelling i understand the travelling culture and think couchsurfing.org is the best idea since the WWW. I would love to meet any fellow or fellowess travellers for coffee (or beer!) and will happily share my knowledge, experience and contacts world wide. I have worked as a dive instructor & skipper all around Australia as well as Spain, Central America, Thailand & Borneo.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No official couchsurfing experience... yet. Although have been unofficially couchsurfing and hosting for the past 12 years. I only heard about couchsurfers.org a few months ago and am looking forward to meeting like minded people and having plenty of new travelling and cultural experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uyuni salt flats, Moreno Glacier, Snorkelling with Manta Rays on the Ningaloo Reef, Diving with Dolphins off Utila, Diving the Great Barrier Reef, Inca Trail & Machu Pichu, Lake Michigan - there are soo many amazing places i couldnt pick the most amazing one....

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught diving and boat driving on and off for the last 7 years and love to share knowledge. I get such a buzz from other people expanding them selves. I have experienced many people pop up from their first dive buzzing saying it is the best experience of their life.... that is why i teach.
I also believe that we are all on a journey and the more information that is shared, taught and learned will enhance the experience for all of us, the more you empower the more you embrace.
