We are two young architects, both 28, currently taking a break from our stable employed lives in Ireland to travel in South America. We met while studying architecture in Dublin and have had many adventures together so far but this trip has been a big step for us, and we have enjoyed discovering new cultures, new food, new ways of living, new music and meeting new people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have used various methods of accommodation so far on our trip, but have found that the best have been the places where we were able to meet local people and have interesting experiences with them, The best way to get to know somewhere is having a host who knows the secret places. When we are able, we would like to be able to share our own secret places with others who come to stay.

Interests

We have varied interests between us, but are both highly engaged in all things design, architecture and arts related. Orla has studied music for years and enjoys any opportunity to play with new people and learn new music, especially from other countries. Jarlath is a keen film fan and loves watching and playing sports. We are both open-minded and are happy to learn about new experiences from other people.
