About Me
There are many people asking questions, so i´m sorry if i´m not answering you :(
But here are some useful informations for you travellers:
Blue Lagoon: There are more people here who wants to go there than it can take, so book in advance because it's more likely to be sold out if you will not. Also the price will gain the less tickets they have.

Local Transport
I would always choose to rent a car if i would be traveling here, the bus system here is slow and expensive but of course you do what you got to do.
Bus:
Reykjavík has an extensive network of local buses connecting all the suburbs, and running to Akranes, Borgarnes, Hveragerði, Selfoss and Hvalfjarðarsveit. See www.straeto.is for information on routes, fares and timetables.
Local bus networks operate in Akureyri, Ísafjörður, and the Reykjanesbær area.
Rent a car or even share one:
Driving in Iceland gives you unparalleled freedom to discover the country and, thanks to good roads and light traffic, it’s all fairly straightforward. But it´s expensive to rent one.
Lagoon rental have pretty good deals and new or almost new cars https://lagooncarrental.is/
But i would check out few car rentals to get the best deal.
Samferda.is a great website where people put in request where they are going and from where. So you can make a request that you need a ride or just call or e-mail someone which is going to the place you need to go to.

2for1 and good deals in Iceland
You can find very good deels if you buy a simcard from nova for only 2000kr. You can get it at N1 petrol station and in nova store.
Then you download the Nova app and there you can find many 2for1 deals on restaurants and many other things.
hopkaup.is there you can sometimes find cheeper hotelrooms and some other good deals
aha.is is simular, sometimes good hotel deals and other good deals
Hitchhiking:
Hitchhiking in Iceland is also very easy and i have just heard good things about it, the only negative things that i have heard is that it can take few hours over winter time when you are far away from the most popular tourist places.
Taxi:
They are very pricey so i would´t use them, but sometimes you might have to do it.
We don´t have Uber in Iceland, but we have group on facebook called " skutlarar! " with around 40000 members. I would definitely join that group if you are coming.
Grocery store: Bónus is the cheapest one and they have 29 stores around the country. They close quite early and open rather late. *Monday- Thusday 11:00 - 18:30 Fridays 10:00 - 19:30 *Satudays10:00 - 18:00 *Sundays 12:00 - 18:00
I would try to shop as much as you can i these stores when you go to the country side because you will pay a lot more in other stores.
Hagkaup, Iceland and some 10-11 stores are open 24-7
Meal at a restaurant or fast food $ 15-25
Beer at a bar costs around $ 11 ( "appy hour" app very reccomended for good deals)
The biggest party in Iceland is held in Vestmannaeyjar island last weekend in july or the first one in august. A lot of music, alcohol, fireworks and around 15000 crazy people. You can read about it here:
http://www.dalurinn.is/en
Music / Festival :
*Biggest festival we have in Iceland, it´s in mid june in Reykjavík http://secretsolstice.is/
*Rock festival in april up north-west in Ísafjörður: http://aldrei.is/
*Electronic festival in february https://sonarreykjavik.com/
*Iceland Airwaves in november downtown Reykjavík http://icelandairwaves.is/
If it is very bright outside and you want to see a nice sunset or Aurora lights at winter time, then this is the place to visit.

You can also take a very nice foot soak there

This mountain is very nice to hike up on a bright day, there is a very nice view from there over Reykjavík. It is very famous by Icelanders to go there. Only 30minutes drive from Reykjavík and around 2.5 hours up and down.
