About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To work out why I'm here...
ABOUT ME
I'm a creative person...I just haven't worked out what I want to create yet. But I'm hoping to be inspired very soon. With this in mind, I am about to embark on a trip to Quebec, to find some solace among the plants and the beasts. And in Montreal, which I've heard is one of the coolest cities on earth. Before that, a few days at home in Bath, then London, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Paris...
PHILOSOPHY
Not sure I really have one, except maybe "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you" (I'm not religious, but I think it's a pretty good recipe for world peace etc.). The poisoning of the planet really saddens me: I don't get why people cut down trees, pollute the air, the water, the soil - we've only got one world...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just joined, but when I have a permament base, it would be great to host people - assuming I live somewhere where people want to visit. I've recently left Montpellier, where I lived for two years, and will be travelling until mid September
Interests
Books, films, music (all kinds, but mainly classical), piano (I play badly), walking, cycling, skiing, photography, art, architecture, old stuff, new stuff. Meeting new people, travelling, seeing places. Wandering the streets of unknown places.

Music, Movies, and Books
At the moment, I'm really into Doris Lessing (not very original, but I did like her even before she won the nobel prize). Also, James Baldwin is a hero of mine, as is Tennessee Williams, D.H. Lawrence, E.M. Forster, Jane Austen, and so many more besides. But I've read so little!
