CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
I am a cheerful and optimistic person who enjoys exotic food. Traveling is one of my passions (which I indulge in every so often hehe). I like listening to other people's stories, learning about other cultures, and drinking coffee.
PHILOSOPHY
Stop and smell the flowers! :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted people from different countries and cultures while I was in the Philippines, and it's been a great experience! My first surfing experience was on the snow trip with James, Chaia, Steph and Steve when we stayed at James' house in Albury, NSW. Then in Canberra with Tim and Lana, in Melbourne with Lyn, in Coffs with Lorie, and, just recently, in Singapore with Sharon. All good! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like listening to rock, electronic, big band music...and pop (I need a fix of Madonna, Britney Spears and boy bands once in a while haha).
I love foreign films! No, the subtitles do not bother me haha. Films by Pedro Almodovar, Wong Kai War, Zhang Yimou and Tom Tykwer are my favorites, especially Habla Con Ella, ChungKing Express, Not One Less, Der Krieger Die Kaiserin and Lola Rennt. But I also like mainstream action movies like The Bourne series and The Fugitive.
I'm a voracious reader of travel books. And I also read fiction. I like those by Chinua Achebe and Michael Crichton. Sydney Sheldon is one of my guilty pleasures haha.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
visited Sohoton Cove in Bucas Grande Island, witnessed a meteor shower in different colors, watched baby sea turtles race to the sea
Teach, Learn, Share
Always bring an umbrella. It can shield you from the harmful rays of the sun, keep you from getting wet in the rain, be used as a defensive object, and cover you when you need to answer nature's call haha.
