About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"I live to be contented." I saw this on a tsukubai in Kyoto and thought it honest. I have since internalized it to "I am contented, therefore I live."
ABOUT ME
I am a wonderer. I do wander as well, to fulfill my desires derived from wondering, but that doesn't entail having to always be on the move. Actually, I find I enjoy living somewhere more than just visiting places. I am happiest when I can take my time, though I don't always. Most of my journeys are within, though they always begin with something outside of myself. I try and show appreciation as much as possible for love received. Family, Friends, and Harper (my dog) are the things I'm most appreciative for...oh, and myself. I'm ok sometimes.
PHILOSOPHY
My life is my expression of the appreciation I have for the gifts Life, God, and Loved Ones have shown me. I have found that the pendulum swings, and I will climb and fall, but it always continues...and that's life for me. I'm now smiling as I understand my gifts to give.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surf when traveling, and host when not and able.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first started by finding places to crash in my travels abroad and within the States...but after my first experience, staying with Hernan in Buenos Aires, I realized this is an incredibly beautiful thing. Much more than a place to stay. It is the way into a community, as I wouldn't have been able to access it without. Thank you Hernan for opening up my understanding. I now host, and am really enjoying meeting travelers and providing some insight and a secure place to stay.
Interests
I love music. I play a little, but mostly I enjoy hearing other's music. As long as the artist has soul and expresses it, I'll listen.
My best form of expression is my writing. I enjoy reading, but I wouldn't say I'm avid.
I like exercising. I bike commute, run, and do yoga.
Besides music, I think food is the best way to bring people together. I enjoy local markets, cooking, planting and harvesting, and eating. I also enjoy good beer, and Fernet.
Spirituality is how I stay rooted. I like learning about people's faith and understanding beliefs to better tap into my own.
