ABOUT ME

Instead of piling up a bucket list of things I want to do and places I want to visit, I follow my dreams and turn "someday" into "now." I'm adventurous and spontaneous, loyal and generous, fun and easy-going. I pursue my goals and passions whole-heartedly. Some of my interests I've followed are dolphin training in Bermuda, instructing scuba diving in Honduras, studying Muay Thai kick boxing in Thailand, leading medical relief trips in Nepal and India, dancing/acting in New York City, attending culinary school in Paris, and skateboarding down the Pacific coast of Ecuador.

My current adventure: in year 3 of a fully nomadic life! I live around the world making my contribution through emergency, expedition, and international disaster medicine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard about CouchSurfing while traveling around Europe and it seemed like a simple and fun way to get to know an area and meet great people. I have "surfed" a few times in my travels in France, Ecuador and on a road trip across the US. Everyone I stayed with was so amazing. This is the perfect way to make some friends and really get to know a new place. Whenever I have my own home base, I love giving back to this awesome community by hosting people!

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I grew up a Mystery reader but have moved over to Sci Fi and Fantasy. My most recent reads are Red Rising, The Name of the Wind, The Maze Runner series, Ender's Game (re-read), and Harry Potter (re-read).

Movies: Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Batman Begins, Inception, Iron Man, Die Hard, The Replacements, The Italian Job, and many more!

Shows: BBC's Sherlock, Friends (although unfortunately it's long over), 30 Rock, Modern Family, Psych, The Mentalist

Music: not picky, but mostly listen to pop or _____ pop / whatever's on the radio

Food: Steak, salads, sushi, and pastries

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing stories, passions, and views on life/the world/happiness! I've been to over 50 countries and every culture has affected who I am today. I hope I can give as much as I learn from each and every person I meet.
