About Me

Hi, I'm Aki from Kobe, Japan. I'm 52 year-old woman but I'm really curious about almost everything which I've never known, like culture, food, thoughts or ideas. I'm laid-back and easy going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because meeting new people and knowing others' ideas or cultures inspire me a lot. It can extend my life. It is great to learn lots of new things as I stay in my country.

Interests

I love learning whatever I still dont know. Whatever means food, culture, music, ideas, everything! I love Asian countries because we have lots of things in common like appearance, food, culture and thoughts. I also love wentern countries because they have lots of things which I'm not familiar and these differences are so interesting to me. I love middle east countries because they are very mysterious and exotic to me and have amazing history like Persian.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love seeing movies. Since I see them for my English studying, most of them are Hollywoods'. I'm big on Sandra Bullock, who is really hot and strong.
But recently I sometimes see other films like Bollywoods's or Europe's.
As for music, I love almost all genra. Classic, Pop, Jazz, and Japanese anime songs.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

hmmmm, this is really tough question... Raising up two kids is maybe...
Oh, I've started to hold my own English club recently. Before starting it, i was really nervous, but so far, so good it is.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some extra futon and the plates here in my house. So you can learn how to cook Japanese dishes and have it together. I'll make you some Japanese maccha after meal. Then we can enjoy some relaxing time with a cup of tea.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I can have a day-off during your stay, I'll show you some beautiful spots and good restaurants which are loved by local people. Good restaurants.. dont mean high-end ones. Those which serve very good dishes with reasonable price ARE LOVED by local people.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macao, Philippines, Spain, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam
