ABOUT ME

I am a jack of all trades and a master of none. I try to make the best out of all situations - and find beauty in the dark things in life...mainly for my own sanity, but helping others is important to me as well. Anything else - you'll have to find out yourself.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to "find color in the darkest places, and find beauty in the saddest of faces". I can only do so much in one life time to help other people - but I want to make sure I do all that I can. It's the only way my time here will be worth anything.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had amazing hosts in Belgium and Germany - and I am always up for a drink with local CSers. I just recently moved into a two bedroom house w/ my boyfriend - and we had our first CSer stay with us (Renee)! It was a great experience and hope to continue to host in Phoenix.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Belgium and Germany. Met with CSers in Belguim, Germany, and Ireland...and will be meeting with people from Czech soon!

Interests

I am really focused on becoming an open minded, well-rounded individual. I find that traveling, meeting people, and having deep conversations on various subjects helps me do that. It allows me to step out of my American "westernized" box for awhile and see things from a new perspective (at least a little bit). I really enjoy long conversations over dinner and drinks or just drinks or just while hanging out... and I enjoy seeing/listening to people share what they are passionate about.

Other interests I have include: kayaking, hiking, walking and site-seeing (walking tours are my absolute favorite), reading, golfing, singing, playing the piano and the trumpet, and I've recently begun to learn French (and hope to learn other languages as well)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I laid out in Phoenix Park in Ireland with an amazing friend for hours, in silence, and listened to the wind blow through the trees and long grass.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a law student - so I am always interested in how other people view justice and how other systems work. I feel like I have a really good grasp on the US system and the positives and negatives of it. That being said, I was constantly told in Ireland that I was "more European" than my European friends -- I have some really strong feelings about limiting the freedom of speech in the United States, becoming more global minded, and getting the US justice system to acknowledge a more "evolutionary" approach to justice. If those things interest you - I have much to offer.

Things I'd love to learn: French. :)
