About Me

I'm a 33-year-old who identifies as a homebody yet finds the excitement of exploring different cultures irresistible. I believe in the richness of our world and that bringing diverse cultures together can open doors that propel our civilizations forward. My curiosity always has me diving into a wide range of subjects, finding joy in the pursuit of knowledge. Working from home affords me the flexibility to explore these passions, and I consider myself fortunate to have ample time to indulge in them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interacting across cultures is not just about exchanging information for me; it's a pathway to understanding each other better and collectively making the world a better place. I eagerly look forward to meeting people from all corners of the globe, listening to their stories, and sharing my own.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to TV series, I find those with psychological depth and intensity far more thrilling than mere action-packed adventures. A prime example would be the 'Fly' episode from Breaking Bad, which many consider the worst due to its entire plot revolving around a fly. To me, however, it stands as possibly the best hour in TV history, showcasing the show's brilliance in character development and storytelling depth.

Similarly, I believe that every piece of art should possess a unique soul, and in music, that soul undoubtedly belongs to the 80s. The era's distinctive sound, with its blend of innovation and emotion, resonates with me deeply.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the surprises of being a traveler is being open to unexpected adventures. For me, two unforgettable moments involved inadvertently crossing borders. Once, while exploring Azerbaijan, I found myself unwittingly crossing into Russia. Similarly, while enjoying a swim in the Turkish waters of the Aegean Sea, I drifted, unbeknownst to me, into Greece. These experiences taught me that sometimes the greatest adventures come not from grand plans, but from simply going with the flow of the moment. It's a reminder that it's not about overthinking; what matters is not where the map ends, but where the story begins.
