ABOUT ME

I am a Korean adoptee from the USA. I have been in Korea for 2 years and love the country! Like many Americans, I was a English teacher, while I love my students I did not want do that for the rest of my life, so I am currently working on my Masters degree at Sogang University.

I also work for the Seoul government, helping foreigners with any problems they might incur (e.g. finding apartments, communication problems, legal, immigration, etc) while living in Seoul. Hopefully, with my assistance they enjoy their stay a little bit more. This job has helped me learned a lot about Seoul and Korea in general, so if you would like to know something about Seoul ask me.

When I am not working, I am also a graduate student at Sogang University. Currently studying International Relations since politics always have fascinated me.

Last thing you should know is I smile a lot and have a unique laugh that seems to make everyone else happy; this is according to all my friends.

Everything else, you will just need to find out by asking me directly. I am friendly, I won't bite unless you want that!

Books- I have read a lot of books so I have many favorites; Tipping Point, Freaknomics, Sam I Am Green Eggs and Ham, God is Not Great, A Brave New World, 1984, Da Vinci Code, Jurassic Park, Into Thin Air, Hamlet, Crime and Punishment, Kite Runner and many others.

As for magazines, I enjoy reading the Economist, New York Times and Times

Music- I enjoy many genres of music except for country and most rap.

Movies- When it comes to movies, I am usually a year behind because I don't have the time to go see the new releases. However, as of late, I am into Korean movies. I need the English subtitles to understand them, but I still enjoy the movies. The last Korean movie I saw was Mister (아저씨), which I recommend. I enjoy watching movies, but believe that it is kind of boring for people to do together, so if we meet I would rather do something more active.
