🇬🇧-Some years ago I used Couchsurfing a lot and had some great experiences. Then I had a couple of bad ones in a row and decided to step away from the app for a while.

Life moved on. I bought an apartment in Spain and started a small business that still barely makes money but takes a lot of my time. I’m designing my own board games, which is challenging but also something I really enjoy (and at least I get to work from home).

I guess I might be going through what people call a midlife crisis 🤷, but in a positive way. Life has hit me hard a few times, sometimes in painful ways, but I’m still here, still curious about the world, and still moving forward.

One thing I always liked about Couchsurfing is how open it is. Some people are looking for a place to stay for a weekend, others want to meet new friends, practice languages, share stories, or sometimes even find something deeper.

Right now I think I’m looking for a bit of peace and perspective. Maybe a place, maybe a person, maybe both. Somewhere that feels like a safe refuge for a little while.

I’m thinking about making a trip sometime between June and August (2026), so it would be great to see if there’s someone here with a similar vibe to connect with.

🇪🇸-Hace unos años usé mucho esta app y tuve experiencias muy buenas. Después encadené un par de malas experiencias y decidí dejar de usarla durante un tiempo.

La vida siguió su curso. Compré un piso en España y empecé un pequeño negocio que todavía apenas genera beneficios y me ocupa muchas horas. Estoy diseñando mis propios juegos de mesa, lo cual es todo un reto, pero también algo que disfruto mucho (y al menos puedo trabajar desde casa).

Supongo que estoy pasando por lo que mucha gente llama una crisis de la mediana edad 🤷. Aun así, estoy orgulloso de mí mismo: la vida me ha golpeado fuerte algunas veces, y de formas dolorosas, pero sigo aquí, con curiosidad por el mundo y con ganas de seguir adelante.

Algo que siempre me gustó de Couchsurfing es lo abierta que puede ser esta comunidad. Hay gente que busca un lugar donde pasar un fin de semana, otros quieren conocer gente nueva, practicar idiomas, compartir historias o simplemente salir de la rutina.

Ahora mismo creo que estoy buscando un poco de paz y perspectiva. Tal vez un lugar, tal vez una persona, tal vez ambas cosas. Algo que pueda sentirse como un pequeño refugio seguro durante un tiempo.

Estoy pensando en viajar entre junio y agosto, así que estaría genial ver si por aquí hay algún alma con la que conectar.

-WATCH MOVIES AND SERIES: Everything, mainly humor, adventure, action, fantasy and science fiction. Special mention for the cartoon style.
-ANIMALS: I am one of those who would give a hug to a lion and unable to resist to cuddle any dog ​​that gives me big eyes :3
-OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Hiking, river sports such as rafting, and adventure in general. Skydiving is on my list of pending activities!
