I'm an Athenian currently living in London. I have lived in the UK since 2009, in Oxford and in London. I love travelling, going to the theatre, and spending time in the sea, sailing, swimming, or exploring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Filoxenia (Greek for hospitality, literally 'love of the foreigner') is one of my favourite words in my native language, and a concept that is very dear to me. I love hosting people and it's a very important part of my culture -I was raised with guests always coming in and out of our house and travelling around the world with my family staying in peoples' homes.

I have been very lucky to have travelled to many places but the island of Skopelos in Greece remains my happy place. I enjoy welcoming people when I am around in the summer and showing them the beauties of the island.

I have only couchsurfed once, in Iran, and have great memories from that trip. I would like to start doing it more.
