I'm from Moldova and currently live in the US. I studied psychology and photography in undergrad, and am currently figuring out my next steps in life because I want to do about a thousand different things while I'm still alive and kicking.

I have an extremely wide range of interests, but the most interesting thing of all to me is human beings...I tend to obsessively and quietly observe the absolutely insane world around me. I love learning about the world from scientific and philosophical perspectives, and applying that to my relationships, my studies, my art, and most importantly--myself. Firsthand experience and curiosity are two things that are very integral to my being. I hope to share my thoughts with my peers and learn as much as I can from everything and everyone around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to share my knowledge and love for culture and travel with everyone that I meet. I am open to new experiences, but more importantly, learning about myself and the world around me. It's absolutely essential for me to live life outside of my own little "box" and comfort zone, and I'm sure other couchsurfers would agree...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed Eagle's Nest, the mountain where Hitler vacationed, in Berchtesgaden, Germany by myself (and got stuck up there, but that's a different story)

I really enjoy learning about tuberculosis in Eastern Europe, specifically my home country of Moldova. I had the opportunity to visit prisons, drug users, the homeless, and villagers to learn about their experiences and how they deal with TB, and ended up writing my dissertation on this topic. Best part of it was making friendships with prisoners (I am very interested in Eastern European prison/tattoo culture)
