ABOUT ME

I live in Brooklyn, NY and like to take advantage of NYC as much as I can by attending as many unique and interesting events as I can find! I’m a photographer of events and I used to photograph concerts, so I’ll likely have a couple of cameras with me. I enjoy street art, antique markets, riding my e-bike or a regular bike around the city, karaoke, and canoeing. Also Burning Man type events, though I’m not the biggest dancer.

I’m very laid back and an independent traveler, but it’s always great to hang out with like-minded hosts & friends!

PHILOSOPHY

I like to try to do as many interesting, exciting, and fun things as possible!

When traveling what I enjoy most is the quirky and unique sides of a city. And of course finding adventures. I’ve also started to enjoy finding unique nature sites outside of cities. Coming from NYC, I’m easily amazed by nature!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I CouchSurfed for the first time in Mexico in August '08 and had a great time hanging out with a CS ambassador. I also CouchSurfed my way from San Francisco to Chicago which was a lot of fun, I just wish I could have spent more time in each city with the people who hosted us! I CS'ed in Stockholm and Oslo in August '10, Barcelona and Lisbon in January '11, Toronto April '11, Chicago April '13, Savannah March '15, Sao Paulo Feb '16, and Paris Sept ‘16!

Musica, film e libri

I don’t go to quite as many concerts as I used to now that I don’t photograph them, but I’m mostly a rock and indie fan (The Hives, Sugarcult, Rocket From the Crypt, The Kills, Maxïmo Park, The Futureheads, etc).
My favorite movie is Wayne’s World, if that gives you a sense of my humor ;)

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Studying abroad in Tokyo was an amazing time, and it reinforced my love for travel and different cultures.

In two separate trips, I have driven cross-country (Chicago to New York in '07 and then San Francisco to Chicago in '08) which was a lot of fun. I was able to CouchSurf my way through on the second half of the trip which added to the experience.

I've seen my favorite band 67 times and was thanked in their liner notes.

In October 2015 I went on my first huge trip by myself to Myanmar which was amazing and a perfect place to travel solo. Since then I have taken multiple solo international trips.

I'm sure there's more specific things I could put here, but you'll just have to dig them out of me in conversation ;)
