ABOUT ME

I was born and raised on the west coast of Canada spending most of my childhood on a small farm on Vancouver Island. I went to university in Ontario and have been working as a field biologist for the past 5 years in various provinces (and a 6 month stint in Australia). I live a quiet lifestyle in the urban setting but when I can get outdoors I am usually looking to jump off the edge of the map and see what's there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Work makes my hosting abilities unpredictable and my travel usually involves tents more than houses or hotels, but I love meeting people and sharing experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hasn't worked out so smoothly yet (one successful surf and a few missed connections due to being too rushed) but I'm hopeful!

Interests

Adventurous outdoor stuff usually so anything in that vein from sea to summit I'm usually up for. I keep very fit and active and have coached a few different sports and martial arts over the past decade. I am an apprentice knifemaker who also enjoys woodworking. I grew up on the ocean so I love fishing, snorkeling and freediving, if I have access to a beach/boat and clear water I'm in heaven.

I've been an athlete my whole life and an avid outdoorsman, I was raised on a hobby farm with a full workshop to build things in. I love lending a hand or sharing new skills.

I also love to cook, and especially so with local produce.
