About Me
Hey everyone,
My name's Axel, I'm 25 and coming originally from Europe. After graduating in film in NYC, I decided to do the trip of a life time: to travel around the world ! I am leaving New York at the end of November 2025 (who knows where I'll be when you read this...) and plan to reach California hitchhiking, then sail across the Pacific and again hitchhike through Asia until Europe is in sight !
Behind this adventure, I plan to go at the encounter of the people, to meet them and see how, in different parts of the world, life is seen, understood and experienced.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music depends of the vibe, I'd say French lyrics always have this power inside them that can bring you to deep emotional state, when arabic does it in smoother ways and spanish makes me want to dance all night long. Wait, you want actual names ? Serge Gainsbourg, Bad Bunny, Parcels, Josman, jean, Joy Crookes Hania Rani, Rodríguey, aupinard, John Coltrane. I hope along this trip to discover new artists deeply embedded in the cultures I'll discover and open myself to new styles I couldn't even imagine.
Oh, and boycott Spotify y'all. Plenty of nice alternatives out there.
The Beach by Alex Garland & The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury are some of the strongest books I read in the last years, to whom I would add Bel-Ami by Maupassant that I dream to adapt in a movie, Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Laclos who still is my best high school reading and recently read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho who really resonates with my trip.
So much and I haven't even mentioned movies. Well, I studied them and could talk about it for hours. Or watch them. Let's keep this topic for when we'll meet ?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitchhiked from Chicago to New York last spring, when everyone, including locals, thought it was impossible and time of this practice was gone ... I end up making the trip, meeting beautiful people along the way and see a part of the US I wouldn't have in an other way (And being searched a bit about the authorities, but that's part of the thrill, isn't it ?)
Teach, Learn, Share
As l am being hosted, I am willing to help you make your life easier in any way I can. Participates to the chores, cooking a meal, do a bit of laundry, take care of the kids. (babysitting, help with homeworks, I am experienced in these fields>)
It would also be a pleasure to share the languages I speak or my knowledge in photography. In only a few minutes, I can teach you how to reach a good level of aestethics with your phone only !
What I Can Share with Hosts
My passion for arts, especially for cinema, photography and literature, but also my travel stories and techniques I developed along the way. In other words, my experience as a traveler !
