ABOUT ME

I graduated from Virginia Tech in May 2010 with bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Economics. I am very much a math person, and am currently looking for a job that will allow me to apply that in a meaningful way. I visited Chicago a number of times as a child, and after visiting again as an adult I realized that it was where I want to live. The job search has so far been unsuccessful, so I decided that, rather than sit around waiting to hear back from far away companies, my best course of action would be to simply pack up and move out here. This will at least allow me to find something to pay the bills while I keep looking for that dream job. I'm currently balancing my time between staying in hostels and looking for a job so I can get an apartment. I'm a very outgoing person, I love live music and meeting new people, and I generally try to leave any situation in a better state than I found it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch surfing would allow me to meet some interesting people who live in the city that I want to make my home, as well as prolong the time-frame I have in which to find a job. I would love to open up my own couch to fellow surfers once I have a place to put it.

Interests

Math, records, live music, books, meeting new people from strange and foreign lands, working on my wonderful 20 year old Audi, finding a damn job, Risk: the game of world conquest, approaching a vague understanding of string theory, euchre, zombies, muppets, The Princess Bride, Hunter S. Thompson, being able to one day legitimately claim to be a Cubs fan, not running out of money before I find said job.
