ABOUT ME

Hi!

My name is Andrew. I grew up in Boston in the United States. I graduated from Wesleyan University this last May 2013, where i studied Art History and Economics. My current trip around Europe is aimed at understanding the world better, seeing artworks and buildings I have studied, experiencing cultures, and making new friends. I am also interested in seeing if one of the cities I visit is a place I might want to move in the future. When I get back from this trip, I will be looking for jobs in marketing in New York.

I'm a very laid-back person, and do not get offended easily. I like to have beer or wine on weekends or with friends, and to have fun, but I am mature and responsible about that. I love to learn about different places and people and jobs, and I would like to think I can have a conversation with anyone, about anything; I find almost everything interesting. Many of my friends are musicians, poets or artists, but many are also in biology, psychology or chemistry (strange mix, I know).

I have an intelligent beautiful girlfriend in Boston (see picture), and a mom and sister and cousins and grandparents in the United States whom I am very close to. I also have many friends spread across the United States, particularly California and New York.

MY TRIP:
In my art history/world city tour of Europe, my itinerary is as follows: Dublin (7days), London (7days), Paris (8days), Montpellier (2days), Marseille (1day), Venice (2days), Florence (2days), Ravenna (1day), Rome (5days), Athens (4days), Rhodes (2days), Istanbul (6days), Prague (3days), Berlin (6days), Amsterdam (3days).

I am meeting my girlfriend in Athens on my last day there and we are going to Rhodes and Istanbul together before she flies back to the United States

TRAVELING:
I love to travel, and have traveled or lived in several places around North America, and a few outside the continent; I've lived in Los Angeles, and New York City, and have spent much time in Michigan. I've also traveled by car to FORTY-EIGHT out of FIFTY US states, including Alaska, and have been to EVERY Canadian province. I am currently on a two month trip around Europe, but before this trip, I have been to Switzerland, Iceland, Peru, Bolivia, and the Carribean outside the continent.

BONUS!:
Besides my great company, if you host me, I can also offer you the opportunity to have a place to stay and a personal tour guide if you visit New York City after this trip is over! New York can be a huge and expensive place, but I know how to live very cheaply there, so if you are interested in seeing the in the future city, meeting people, having fun and not spending too much, maybe I can help you out!

I have just started, but I think I participate, as a couch surfer, by bringing a friendly personality, and open mind, and an interesting point of view.

My first couchsurfing experience was great! I cant wait to have more, and am looking forward to starting to host people in the near future!
